GALLERIES & CLIENT PORTAL

Share a gallery and control its password and expiry

2 min read · Captura guides

Sharing enables a public gallery link. A separate portal link is used for client selections.

Before you start: Owners and managers with Galleries access; email notification needs a linked Event whose client has an email address.

  1. Open the gallery’s Share tab and enable Public gallery link when ready.
  2. If protection is needed, enable Password protection, enter the gallery password and save it.
  3. Choose Copy link or Open client view to inspect the shared view. Send the password separately from the link.
  4. If the correct client is linked, use Send gallery link when you intend to email that client. Set or clear Expiry date in Settings and choose Save changes.

What happens next

The shared gallery can be opened subject to its password, expiry and download settings. Sending is a separate action from making the gallery public.

Things to know

A public link can be forwarded. The password is not included in the gallery URL or notification. Expiry stops client access without deleting the studio’s photos. A successful send action does not prove inbox delivery.

If something goes wrong

For an inaccessible gallery, the studio should check sharing, expiry and password settings. Clients should contact their studio for access. Do not send passwords or private access links to support. Persistent delivery failures need human support with redacted error text.
