Prepare a quotation from an enquiry
A quotation records the proposed services and prices for a lead. The quotation editor is inside the lead record.
Before you start: Owners and eligible Managers with Leads access can use the lead quotation editor. The separate Quotations overview is an Owner workspace. Use these steps if the controls appear in your account.
- Open Leads and select the enquiry. Open its Quotation tab.
- Choose Add Line Item, or Add from Services to reuse an available service.
- Enter each item's Description, Qty and Unit Price. Review the calculated line totals, Subtotal and Total.
- Set Status and, if appropriate, Valid Until.
- Choose Save Quotation. Reopen the quotation and review the saved values.
- As the Owner, open Quotations to find saved, non-archived lead quotations with line items. Search by name, email or event type, and clear status filters if needed.
What happens next
The saved quotation belongs to the lead and can be reviewed from the lead record or the permitted overview.
Things to know
Every line needs a description, a quantity greater than zero and a non-negative unit price. Line totals are recalculated from quantity × unit price and rounded to two decimal places. The quotation editor has no separate discount, tax or currency selector; do not assume invoice tax settings or subscription currency alter the quotation. Do not enter a negative-price line to create a discount. Review the displayed currency and the saved quotation total before sharing.
If something goes wrong
For a validation error, correct the named description, quantity, price or date. If a service is missing, check that the Owner has made it active and visible in Quotes. If any summary, message or document shows a different amount from the saved line-item total, stop before sharing and contact support for reconciliation.
